  • Open the Language Preferences app again.
  • Run the language pack installer(s) that you downloaded in step 1.
  • Click each of the other languages (that you will be using) and click the Remove button.
  • Under Editing Language, click the language that you selected from the dropdown (the one you are not using) and click the Set as Default button.
  • Under the Add Additional Editing Languages dropdown, select a language that you are not using.
  • Open the Office 2013 Language Preferences app in the Start menu.
  • Exit Word and any other Office applications (Outlook, etc.) you have opened.
